Longterm Treatment
Stepworks offers both male and female longterm treatment options. Otherise known as a Halfway House or Transitional Housing, a sober living environment is appropriate for individuals who have completed some form of treatment but who still require a home setting that is supportive to their sobriety. Residents required to attend daily house meetings and regular 12-step meetings. In addition, they are required to seek and obtain employment within four weeks of arrival. Weekly aftercare sessions are held by the Stepwork's therapists.
The usual length of stay in a Sober Living Environment is 6 - 12 months. Each client is responsible for paying weekly rent which covers rent and all utilities. The house occupants are responsible for providing their own meals and transporation. Laundry facilities are available on site.
