Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) consists of group therapy lasting three to four hours each session. There are three sessions weekly. The usual course of treatment runs for 24 weeks. Programmatically, the curriculum is the same as the residential clients.
IOP is most appropriate for those individuals who are early in their disease of addiction. To be appropriate for IOP treatment, the patient must:
- Have a diagnosis of alcohol and/or chemical dependency
- Be at low risk for withdrawal symptoms
- Be free of significant medical or psychiatric problems
- Be able to maintain sobriety without 24 hour support
- Have a stable home and work environment
- Have reliable transportation
- Have not recently failed another IOP program
Currently, our IOP program is held on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30am to 12:30pm. As this schedule can change, please call to confirm. Evening IOP sessions may be added as demand indicates.
