LONG-TERM TREATMENT / HALFWAY HOUSES

Stepworks offers long-term treatment options. Otherise known as a halfway house (halfway houses) or transitional housing, a sober-living environment is appropriate for individuals who have completed some form of treatment but can still benefit from a home setting that is supportive to their sobriety. Halfway house residents attend daily house meetings and regular 12-step meetings. In addition, they seek and obtain employment within four weeks of arrival. Weekly after-care sessions are hosted by the Stepworks therapists.

The usual length of stay in a sober living environment is six to twelve months. Each halfway house client is responsible for paying weekly rent, which covers rent and all utilities. The halfway house occupants are also responsible for providing their own meals and transportation. Laundry facilities are available on site in Stepworks halfway houses.
